you also got to look at people that don't have new or fast computers (i currently fall in this category) and people that don't have a fast internet connection (like people that live to far out of town where they cant get high-speed ) or people that like to have a original copy AKA a dvd to take to another house to watch. that is the people that is buying audio cd's and dvd movies from wally world. so even tho if apple got every studio for ITMS it would not affect those buyers then would it.
wally world needs to see the point, that they are going to be the retail store version of M$

My comment was in reply to the commenter who suggested keeping manufacturing and pollution in China would be good for the US, whereas that�s just not true. But thanks for your hermeneutic of suspicion anyway.

It's an OS. It should get the hell out of your way and let you worry about actually *doing* stuff with your computer. About the best thing I can say about Windows 7 is that it doesn't require me to care about it in the least, so in that, it's a success, although I still far prefer OS X.

All I wanted to point out is that Windows 7 is more problem-free when you compare it to Vista. Personally I'm getting tired of Apple and their color choices. You have to pay more for black? What if you want 8 GB but you don't want black? What then? I'm not liking the approach Apple is taking on the color choices of their products.
I guess that if they hand't released black model at all, everybody would be happy. Same thing with MacBooks. Had Apple only released the two white models, no-one would have complained. But when the announced a pricier third moder, the BlackBook, the whining started.

Is there anyone who actually got his serial number to be confirmed as a faulty one? I keep getting a " This serial number is invalid or does not qualify for the program."
While my serial number starts with 6C5353... which as far as I can check fits into the range of valid iBook battery serial numbers.

I have 901 shares of Apple....and I would have lost close to $18000 last week when the stock dropped, but fortunately it's only 5% of my portfolio. That and some prescient shorting mitigated my downside risk. So yeah, how about that new MacPro?

Maybe it had nothing to do with money at all. Maybe "wife said no" because hubby is obsessed with gadgets and the Internet, and therefore pays no attention to wife, kids, dog or fish.
That said, Apple may not have necessarily helped with family by sending it back to hubby for free. All they did was undermine the wife's better judgment.

In my years of experience with Apple, they seem to screw up a whole lot less than any other computer maker I've ever dealt with. For instance, I had to sue a certain Texas company to get them to honor their warranty. Never had to do that with Apple. :)

Seriously, The Beatles were great, I would think by now most people have their songs. How many Lp's and Cd's they sold? How many Millions.
The only positive thing from this outcome is that Apple Corps will stop filling lawsuits against Apple Computer. Besides that, I see no point as this being a big deal.

While many people are looking for Apple to integrate a radio tuner into the iPod it isn't going to happen.
I would prefer the option to grab a quick weather forecast, news headline or actually hear a song I don't own once in a while, but that's not the iPod way. The iPod is all about your content not someone else's.
