People don't care about Flash Player itself, they just want the ability to play video in the browser, which the iPhone is perfectly capable of doing. So instead of lobbying Apple for Flash support we should be lobbying web developers for video tag support.
Exactly! And not only video video tag support but the whole HTML5. Much faster and cleaner and ready to replace this flash crap. Good thing Apple is so large that they can actually transform whole markets.

I haven't looked yet. It's still downloading for me. It just reports bug fixes so I doubt there's anything noticeable.

Unfortunately, you can't buy the games separately for the equivalent of 5 bucks each like you can in the US, you have to buy all nine as a bundle for 36 quid!

If you click on the game you want, then you can download it, for 3.99

The package is 52% smaller.
The new Nano just a fraction thinner.
does anyone know exactly how much thinner the new nanos are? im sure it is just a few centimeters, if not millimeters but i am still curious.

It looks like Apple got sick of the scratch complaints and went back to the Mini design. Odd that Apple would take a step back on the design front. Of course I always thought the Nanos were boring anyway, so maybe now this will give me an incentive to get one.
And let the "I have to pay how much extra for black" complaints begin...
At least you get 8GB instead of four. You don't pay that extra just for the color. The 50$ difference for that extra 4GB capacity is reasonable compared to the 200$ for 80GB instead of 60GB on the Macbook especially since you can upgrade the white macbook to 80GB for 50$. So the Macbook is actually 150$ for the color while the nano is 50$ for the color and the capacity.

..10.6-12...is just a little too small...
if u want a small laptop like that....you would definately not enjoy gaming on it...dvds....fine....websurfing...fine...but what else would it be good for having it that small!? no full size keys....yeah fine its lighter...but iono...i like mb size now! its definately the smallest i'll go for!
the 12" PB had a full sized keyboard...and I'm holding on to my 1.33 version till a 12" MBP shows up.

I have 3 USB 1 ports and 2 FireWire ports. Does that mean if I buy a new 8Gb Nano, it won't work with my system? :(

So the 60% brighter display is just a software update?
OK, so there are no added features, just minor things like tweaked display and battery. All the new functionality is just new software and available to the other 5G ipods. Is that better?
Gapless playback is a software update ????
I believe so. I think someone has already posted that they tried it on their 5G and it worked.

Here's my addition today - a fisherman on Pound Lake in Virginia. Something about the fog coming off the lake but seeing his cast worked great for me that morning - 5 minutes later and I would have missed it...

@SVD yah I love the 24-70 and as a first L it has been good to me. Shooting with it is a breeze. At 2,8 it's great and even better stopped down a bit. Especially with flash/studio lights. Camera upgrade is next on the agenda. I can safely say that the 24-70 has been my studio's workhorse the past few months and made me quite a bit of money. If I hadn't built that system in my sig, I would have a 5dmk1 right now but I opeted for a better computer for Adobe and a speedlight with some money I made last month.
Get the 24-70 and you'll love it! The 7d /50,60d's I may also consider as viable upgrade paths. I'd love a 50d.

Well i've done updated setups before, but never past and present (as the title of the threads suggests we should post). So, here we are.

For all you people calling Apple...Just wait a day or so and the web thing will get sorted out...It sounds as if Apple is just using the website too, so they can't do anything to help you.

It's about time Wal-Mart gets burned to the ground.
I hope that this pisses off the studios royally. The sooner we shift to a purely electronic method of distribution, the better everything is.
There's no way that Wal-Mart would stop selling DVDs, and what else could they possibly do? Raise prices?
It's retarded. Wal-Mart won't lose any substantial sum of money if iTunes carries movies from all the major houses. But they will lose tons if they stop selling DVDs.
This just seems really foolish to me. They're not in a good position (for once). Granted, it could hurt the studios for a while, but people want to see movies more than they want to shop at Wal-Mart, methinks.

You're right, it wasn't the RIAA handing the fines, of course, it was courts. But you're wrong, there most certainly have been fines:

http://www.pcworld.com/article/112436/industry_group_pays_childs_riaa_fine.html
Those aren't fines, they're damage awards by juries. Shody reporting and misuse of the word fine.

the key issue in my case was that my macbook couldn't go to sleep or be closed, everytime it woke up, it wouldn't last longer than 3 seconds and then shut down and all of the other known symptoms.
I ran the firmware upgrade and it works fine now, it's not hot or anything and the fans seem to be working at a normal pace.
Well, I am grateful for the fact that I don't have to turn in the mac for 5 days or more for servicing... I make a living out of this thingy...:DSome firmware engineer is going to get a very good performance review if this truly does fix the problem. There is nothing a company loves more then finding a way in software to fix a hardware problem and saving the company millions of dollars in repair costs.

You guys are missing a huge point. A couple actually. There not going to take away the high storage and only leave people with a 64GB option, because people would buy the 120GB Zune. Have you ever though that they are going to release a huge 10 year anaversery or something? Also, so what? It's been 2 years since an upgrade. Why freak out? It's a classic, it doesn't need to do anything more. Also, the Zune HD and other Zunes haven't been updated in over 3 years,,, many products just don't need them right now.
